A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has been arrested after allegedly threatening to stab a woman during an attempted bag snatching in the Casuarina Square food court yesterday.
Northern Watch Commander Siiri Tennosaar said the youth attempted to snatch a bag from 29-year-old woman who was seated in the food court of the Casuarina Square shopping centre at about 2pm on Saturday.

“A friend of the victim intervened and the youth then made threats while brandishing a knife that she would stab the pair,” she said.
“The youth fled the area empty-handed and was later identified by security and arrested by police.

“The youth was charged with assault with intent to steal relating to this matter and a further count of assault with intent to steal relating to an attempted robbery at a service station in Malak the previous night (April 2, 2021).”
The girl was refused bail and remanded in detention to appear in court on Tuesday.
