The court heard Williams became involved in a physical altercation with another man outside Istanbul Kebab on Darwin’s Mitchell St after Williams allegedly threw his rubbish onto the footpath.
The court heard the incident, which was captured on CCTV footage from multiple angles, involved Williams allegedly headbutting and then punching the man several times in the face, breaking his jaw.
Defence lawyer Sally Ozolins said a psychological report had been ordered for Williams that will likely be available in late June.
Williams will return to court when the matter resumes on July 14.
