THREE teenagers have been arrested over a spate of attempted robberies in the Darwin CBD which hospitalised two women.
NT Police responded after three girls, two aged 16 and one aged 18, allegedly attempted to rob four women during three separate incidents that happened in quick succession in Darwin’s CBD at around 10.40pm on Sunday.
One of the incidents resulted in two women being taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with minor injuries.
The alleged offenders were apprehended in the Darwin CBD by Strike Force Trident detectives and general duties officers a short time later.
“This senseless violence is completely unacceptable, police will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our community,” Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said.
One of the 16-year-olds was released without charge to be summonsed at a later date.

The other 16-year-old was charged with an unrelated unlawful entry and bailed to face court at a later date.
The 18 – year-old was charged with two counts of assault with intent to steal, two counts of aggravated assault, along with one count of aggravated robbery and unlawful entry for an unrelated incident.
She was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court on Tuesday.
