A 34-year-old man will front court today after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck in the Darwin CBD yesterday.

A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck in the Darwin CBD on Monday morning.
The man approached the 59-year-old man at around 10.15am on Mitchell Street before allegedly stabbing him to the neck area with a kitchen knife.
Northern Watch Commander Siiri Tennosaar said several people in the area assisted the injured man after the attack.
“The offender was arrested a short distance away,” she said.
“The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to cuts on his neck and hands.
“The parties were not known to each other.”

The man has been charged with aggravated assault and going armed in public and was refused bail to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
