Witnesses report shock stabbing in Darwin CBD

A 58-YEAR-OLD man has reportedly been stabbed during an violent incident in Darwin’s CBD.

A 58-YEAR-OLD man has reportedly been stabbed during an incident in Darwin’s CBD that multiple police and ambulance crews responded to.

Police confirmed they responded to an incident where a 58-year-old man was assaulted by a 34-year-old in the Darwin CBD.

The incident occurred near the Hilton Hotel on Mitchell Street at about 11am on Monday.

A witness told Mix 104.9 they understood a man had been stabbed in the neck.

It is understood the victim involved has been conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact police.

Several police cars and two St John Ambulance crews responded to the incident.
