Man stabbed by pair who approached him in SUV while he stood on street, police allege
A 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed by two men who approached him in a vehicle while he was standing on the street with his friends in Karama last night, according to NT Police.

A 20-YEAR-OLD man was fatally stabbed by two men who approached him in a vehicle while he was standing on the street with his friends in Karama last night, according to NT Police.
Detective Senior Sergeant Jakson Evans told media this afternoon that the victim was standing with his friends in the carpark of the Karama Shopping Centre when he was approached by a dark SUV.
Det Sen Sgt said two men got out of the car and allegedly stabbed the young man, who then ran down the street.
Security guards assisted the man and St John Ambulance attended but the man died in hospital.
The weapon involved has not been found.
In a separate but related incident, Det Sen Sgt Evans said a 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds and remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two men have been arrested – one in Karama and one in Winnellie.
The vehicle allegedly involved was found in Winnellie.
“As a result of police inquiries we were able to locate, identify and arrest two males – one 20-year-old and one 26-year-old. They are currently in custody,” Det Sen Sgt Evans said.
He said “at least one” of the people allegedly involved in the first stabbing was also believed to be involved in the second stabbing.
The two victims are not known to each other however the second victim is known to the offenders.
Police are still investigating the relationship between the first victim and the offenders.
