THREE people charged over a Mitchell St brawl that ended with a 4WD ploughing into the Six Tanks Brew Pub in December will contest a fresh set of charges laid against them.
Wade Hunter, 32, Karlla Garling, 30, and Joseph Hazelbane, 32, were each set to plead guilty to engaging in violent conduct and fighting in public before police also charged them with aggravated assault on Monday morning.
The trio’s lawyer, Peter Maley, told the Darwin Local Court while his clients still intended to plead guilty to the original charges, the aggravated assault allegations would be contested.
Police allege they were involved in a brawl with Dale Talbot before the 38-year-old allegedly drove his LandCruiser through the front door of the pub in the early hours of the morning on December 6.
