THERE were chaotic scenes across Coconut Grove as police responded to several incidents, including a hit and run involving a cop car, on Saturday.
Cops spent the morning scouring bushlands after the driver of a Toyota Landcruiser allegedly struck a police car on Totem Rd and fled on foot.
Watch Commander Tony Bennet said police had observed the car being driven in a “dangerous manner” in the area at around 5.30am.
“Police did not engage in a pursuit, and the Landcruiser allegedly struck a stationary police vehicle, causing damage to the front end,” he said.
