A PALMERSTON man has been issued an infringement notice for lying to police about the whereabouts of a woman who was quarantining at his residence.
The 50-year-old resident brings the total number of infringements issued in the NT to 42, with 6,238 compliance checks completed
The 28-year-old woman was cautioned and the man was issued with an infringement penalty of $1,099.
A spokeswoman from NT Police confirmed the woman arrived in the Territory before April 3 when it became mandatory for arrivals to go straight into a hotel.

Northern Territory Police, Environmental Health officers and Australian Defence Force soldiers continue to undertake quarantine compliance checks to ensure people are completing their 14 days quarantine.
Assistant Commissioner Michael Hebb said Territorians should be proud of their efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.
