FORMER sports scientist Stephen Dank remains without a lawyer and is testing the patience of a Darwin Local Court judge in the latest saga of his drawn-out court proceedings.
Dank, 56, was charged late last year with a raft of charges, including causing serious harm, recklessly endangering serious harm and fraud relating to his brief period of employment at Darwin’s Ageless Health Clinic NT in early 2017.
His former lawyer Matt Hubber stood down last month after Dank’s application for legal aid was rejected.
Judge Greg Cavanagh expressed frustration after the court was unable to get through to Dank when he was due to appear via telephone on Wednesday as he is stuck in lockdown in Melbourne.

“If there’s any substance to the charges, they’re serious,” M Cavanagh said.
“Delay after delay after delay and now not answering a telephone call.”
Dank’s matter was adjourned to October 21.
