A HOUSE in Tennant Creek has been saved after firefighters were called to a late night blaze.
Southern Watch Commander Adrian Kidney said firefighters were quick to respond to a fire on a suburban street in Tennant Creek.

“At about 12.30am police responded to a fire at 121 Ambrose st,” he said.
“Upon arrival observed the fence on fire with 3m flames coming off it.
“Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire.”
Snr Sgt Kidney said while the property was damaged the residence escaped harm.
“(There was) significant damage to the fence,” he said.
“Fortunately no-one was injured and the fire didn’t manage to reach the residence.”

A crime scene was established and investigators will assess the incident.
