Artistic director Felix Preval said he was relieved the festival had finally arrived. “We’re pinching ourselves but it feels amazing to be here after five long months of planning and we’ll be able to present the program we have to the people of Darwin,” he said.
“We hope everyone stays patient and cool; it’ll be a little different but we promise it’ll be memorable, meaningful and fun.”

The festival kicks off on Thursday with a Welcome to Country at 5.15pm at Sunset Stage and a montage of performances, including a display from the NT Dance Company.
“We’re thrilled to have the NT Dance Company as part of our house-warming line-up,” Mr Preval said.
