Notorious Queensland Mongols bikie president Nick ‘The Knife’ Forbes has been ordered to return to the Northern Territory.
Nicholas John Forbes faces two charges of aggravated assault and engaging in violent conduct relating to an eight-year-old nightclub bikie brawl allegation.
Police allege the 53-year-old was involved in the assault of a Hells Angels bikie rival at the Discovery Nightclub in 2014.
On Monday, Chief Judge Elizabeth Morris issued a notice to appear against Forbes requiring him to attend a July 20 hearing over the contested assault allegation.
Queensland-based defence barrister Michael Gatenby, who appeared over the phone into Darwin Local Court, said he needed time to review the video evidence recently sent to his office.
Ms Morris ordered all parties to file their documents by March, with expert evidence or notices of objection to be provided 20 days before the hearing.
The Mongols bikie leader was dramatically arrested moments after his Jetstar flight touched down at Darwin Airport in October, the same weekend as 150 Mongols took part in the annual run down the Stuart Highway.
Forbes was granted bail by the Supreme Court, following a failed Darwin Local Court application.
Under his bail conditions Forbes was sent packing from the Territory, leaving behind a $25,000 bond and a promise to never return outside required court appearances.
Forbes was also barred from contacting 68 people identified in a non-contact order.
