THE Territory’s first full-time Supercars driver Bryce Fullwood may have to wait a little longer before racing in front of his home crowd.
The Darwin Triple Crown set to be raced this weekend has been pushed back a week after some crew members travelling from Queensland were placed under mandatory quarantine.
As such Fullwood and his competitors will have another week in limbo as they eagerly await their opportunity to set their tires down at the Hidden Valley racetrack.

However, mother Kelly Fullwood was most looking forward to having her son home for the first time since November last year.
“We’re obviously excited to have him home and hope to have him staying with us while he’s here,” Ms Fullwood said.
“It’s not been too bad but he had to move to Melbourne to join his race team. We’ve missed him as we normally see him every six to eight weeks but lockdowns this year haven’t allowed that.”
The Walkinshaw Andretti United driver topped the 2019 Dunlop Super2 Series and is already finding personal success at the top level, earning a top-10 finish in Sydney on June 28.
The young racer has never driven at Supercars level at home before but he’s hoping the home crowd will get behind him and lift him to another strong result.
“He’s really taken everything in his stride this year,” Ms Fullwood said.
“It’s been a big step up for him having increased fan engagements, media appointments and racing against some of his idols but he’s just got on with it and concentrated on his driving.
“It was certainly a little unexpected for him to get a top ten so soon but that’s down to the hard work and dedication he’s put in every step of the way.”
