Tiger Brodie Filo once again showed the form and composure that has seen him twice lift the prestigious league medal in his sides dominant if not ruthless 19.26 (140) to 2.4 (16) win over Tiwi.

The midfielder put in a massive showing from the midfield racking up 26 kicks and six handballs alongside four marks and six clearances to give his side every possible opportunity.
Equalling his touch tally was Saints’ Dylan Landt who has been among the form defenders of the 2020-21 season who managed 27 kicks and five handballs in the win over Southern Districts.
Nightcliff’s Shaun Wilson was only one disposal off the top with 31, 16 kicks and 14 handballs, acting as another key distributor against the Bombers, with five marks, three tackles and eight clearances.
Despite the heavy loss Tiwi had a man of their own in touching distance of the top in Nicholas Hooker who put in a dynamic display finishing with 30 disposals (28 kicks and two handballs).
Rounding out the top five was Palmerston’s Eric Guthrie who has been one of the shining lights at the Magpies this year and despite the loss to Buffaloes finished with 29 disposals including 22 kicks and seven handballs.

Palmerston skipper Matt Dennis was once again a force to be reckoned with in the centre managing 36 hit outs to go with his 24 disposals, while Waratah’s Arnold Kirby also impressed in the ruck with 25 hit outs.
