Storm star Cameron Munster made a rare appearance in a press conference alongside his coach Craig Bellamy on Thursday night and it didn’t disappoint.

The presser was proceeding as normal until the three-minute mark when fill-in skipper Munster was asked a rogue question about a fellow NRL player’s bucks party.

Following Melbourne’s loss to North Queensland, a journalist in Townville said they’d just received a text from Munster’s former teammate and current Titans forward Joe Stimson.

“Cameron I know that you blokes are prepping for the finals but… Joe Stimson just texted us and says you haven’t replied to him about his bucks party in October,” the journalist said.

“He’s waiting for a text back, the great Joe Stimson, so if you could get back to him he’d appreciate that.”

It was Bellamy - who coached Stimson at the Storm between 2017 and 2019 - who responded first.

“I’m sure Joey would appreciate if he doesn’t go, actually. That might be the best option,” Bellamy said to chuckles in the room.

Munster then tried to give the out-of-the-blue question a somewhat serious answer.

“It’s a good question. Nah I’ve got better things to do at the moment,” Munster said.

“I’m good mates with him and I don’t want to be saying too much but I’m just getting myself prepped and ready for finals.

“We’ll play (finals) and see where it lands at the end of the year.”

Bellamy then turned to his star five-eighth and quipped “So you’re not worried about the bucks party?”

“Nah mate, finals first,” Munster said.

“That’s good mate. You’re saying the right things… it’s the actions that count,” Bellamy shot back.
