Rebels pitcher starring for Eagles

WANDERERS may not be on a winning run but their host of developing youngsters, including ruckman Mitch Garton, will give them plenty to smile about in seasons to come.The 22-year-old comes from a basketball and baseball background, and was named the 2017 Darwin Baseball League MVP while playing as a pitcher for the Tracy Village Rebels.

American Aurrichio boosts Waratah

AMERICAN ruckman Alex Aurrichio has returned to playing for Waratah in the NTFL after a period out of the league for family reasons.The 29-year-old New Yorker is relatively new to the sport but has always wanted to play in the AFL.Waratah president Paul Gross cited the big ruckman as one of the team’s best players who was greatly missed while away.

IN her first season as a forward, Ebony Miller has all but secured honours as the Women’s Premier League top goalscorer after kicking her second 10-goal haul in Southern Districts’ demolition of Tracy Village on the weekend.
