It was Tracy’s second win in a row and – after a few lean years – the side finally has the personnel to push for this year’s Darwin Premier Grade title.
Former Tracy skipper Edmondstone has that goal in mind for 2021, before he hopes to push for bigger and better things in the coming seasons.
“It was really good to get the win on the weekend.” Edmondstone told the NT News.
“Our bowlers like Josh Kann (2-12) and my brother Jackson (2-18) built up a lot of pressure, which allowed me to come on and take wickets.
“I play for Claremont in Perth, which is the best club in WACA premiership history. It’s a great club and I want to go as far as I can in the game.
“I’d like to become someone who can score 700 runs and take 25 to 30 wickets in a season.
“Playing and training up here the past few years has been great for me, and at the moment I’m enjoying training with the NT under-23 academy.”
Edmonstone took 22 wickets in 2019 and 26 scalps in 2020 during his previous two seasons with Tracy Village.
Tracy Village hosts Palmerston in Round 5 action today.
Darwin v Waratah at Kahlin Oval and Southern Districts v Nightcliff at Cazalys Oval are the other games.
