JOSHUA Kann was quick to play down his incredible 6-9 off eight overs with the ball in Tracy Village’s eight-wicket thrashing over Darwin at Marrara during Round 3 Premier Grade cricket action.
Kann’s brilliant performance with the ball saw a strong Eagles batting line-up – including in-form Mosman import Anthony Adlam (26) – crumble for just 81 from 35 overs.

Captain Jacob Dickman (three), Harry Chamberlain (32), Mitchell Fuss (one), Ethan Anderson (zero) and Connor Hawkins (11) were the other victims, with five of those falling caught behind.
“I got five who nicked it to our wicketkeeper, which is great because I’m mates with him (Patrick Parsons, up from Kingston-Hawthorn Cricket Club),” Kann told the Sunday Territorian.
“We lost our first two games.
But the boys will get a lot of confidence out of this win.”
Kann, 21, is a star Gold Coast Dolphins product who has a dream of playing for Queensland.
“I’d love to get into the Queensland system – it’s a very strong system at the moment,” the Bulls Second XI and Australia under-19 representative said.
“I’m loving having Tony Judd as our coach up here. He’s a hard (taskmaster) but it gets us all going.
“ (Allrounder) Coby Edmondstone is a local player who’s impressed me, and I was impressed with the team’s performance (yesterday).”
Meanwhile, Waratah won a thriller over the Tigers by eight runs at Nightcliff.
Isaac Conway (67) and Austin Umpherston (3-21) were the standouts.
And Palmerston beat PINT by five wickets.
Connor Blaxall-Hill (50 not out) and Hamish Martin (4-35) stood out for the victors.
