Townsville crime: Emergency services say three injured in mass inner-city brawl

A number of people were injured in a wild mass brawl involving as many as 20 people in Townsville in the early hours of Sunday morning, emergency services said.
Queensland Police Service said three people sustained “non-life-threatening injuries” in wild scenes spanning from a location in Hermit Park to Ross River Rd in Mundingburra.
A QPS spokeswoman said they were called to the “large disturbance”, which initially kicked off at Hermit Park, about 4.20am.
She confirmed that police provided medical assistance at the scene and that three people were subsequently transported to Townsville University Hospital.
Queensland Ambulance Service said it was called to the altercation about 4.32am.
A QAS spokeswoman said a male with arm injuries was taken to TUH while a female, also with arm injuries, declined transport.
