Serious crash under bridge in Adelaide's north

A man has died following a serious crash near Clare in the state’s Mid North, with road closures in the area, while investigators examine the scene.

Police and emergency crews were called to Blyth Rd, Blyth, about 137km north of Adelaide, around 1.40pm, after reports a motorcycle had collided with a tree.

The rider, a 47-year-old local man, sadly died at the scene, marking the 86th life lost on our state’s road this year.

Major Crash Investigators are at the scene to examine the circumstances that led up to the crash.

Blyth Rd has been closed between Kybunga Top Rd and Old Blyth Rd, with those in the area being advised to use an alternative route and follow directions from police on scene.

It comes after a 74-year-old woman was killed in Pewsey Vale on Sunday, after her car crashed into an embankment in the Eden Valley.
