Burnside Village is the preferred site for luxury retailer Louis Vuitton’s latest Adelaide pop-up store.
The French fashion house is a favourite of Cate Blanchett, when it comes to her appearances on the red carpet.
When the Aussie actor was here for the screening of her film Tar, at the Capri as part of the 2022 Film Festival, she was wearing Louis Vuitton.
While it was initially touted to open on Wednesday, December 4, on Tuesday the fashion giant updated its website to say Burnside Village’s temporary Louis Vuitton boutique would actually open on Thursday, December 5.
The up-market shopping centre also boasts being landlord to South Australia’s only Zara.
A tenant since 2011, the Spanish retailer recently unveiled the multimillion-dollar makeover of its Burnside Village store, which is the chain’s most up-to-date outlet in the Southern Hemisphere. Zara has also signed a 20-year lease with Burnside Village.
While Louis Vuitton is yet to have a permanent home in South Australia, the impending pop-up store suggests Burnside Village could be the favourite.
This is despite Rundle Mall playing host to a temporary Louis Vuitton boutique last year in the lead up to Christmas.
The mall was feeling the love – it was a big success.
You could understand Rundle Mall for now feeling jilted, especially seeing as there is a massive billboard smack bang in the CBD – near the mall’s entrance – promoting Burnside Village being the home of Zara.
