Eleven new businesses will join the 70 existing vendors in the second round.
“In Round One, $40,000 was spent within two weeks so we are expecting the vouchers to fly out the door,” City of Palmerston mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell said.
“We are glad that we can help provide financial support to Palmerston businesses by providing customers with $90,000 to shop locally with,” Ms Pascoe-Bell said.
“With $40 worth of vouchers a day, coupled with the free parking City of Palmerston are offering, this is a perfect opportunity to beat that Christmas rush and save some money,” she said.
A third round of the scheme, to be released on November 26, will be worth another $90,000.
Among businesses joining for this second round is local florist, Flowers by Elise.
