TERRITORY Labor promotes itself as offering “A Fair Go For The Territory”.
Instead, they have made it clear they offer a fair go for a lying, married Labor MLA with five children who cheated on his wife with someone he knew was using cocaine.
Instead of doing the right moral thing and dumping Blain MLA Mark Turner, a former police officer, Territory Labor has made it clear their decision is all about the numbers.

Labor has said to their members and Territorians that it doesn’t matter how someone acts, it matters more what it means for them politically.
If Mr Turner was dumped from Labor, it leaves the party with 13 members of Parliament — only one away from minority government.
The way things are going for Labor, clearly they are concerned that it wouldn’t take much for another MLA to resign or be dumped from the party, plunging them into the minority they are desperately trying to avoid.
For the CLP, keeping Mr Turner under the Labor umbrella is one of the best political gifts they could be bestowed.

Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro said it was “weak” for Labor to not dump Mr Turner.
Deep down, however, she knows she can play on this shambles all the way until the 2024 election.
For Chief Minister Michael Gunner, his own party has shown him the middle finger and not delivered what he asked. That presents a huge problem for his leadership.
