NT Police find body on Casuarina Beach on Valentine’s Day

Police have closed a section of a popular Darwin beach on Valentine’s Day after a body was found nearby.

Surf Life Savers on Wednesday warned early morning dog walkers away from the off-leash section of the Casuarina beach.

Three police officers were spotted near the surf, though it is unclear what the circumstances of the incident are.

An NT Police spokeswoman said the matter was non-suspicious.

The spokeswoman said no further details would be provided.
