“Recognise – encourage students to be aware of their surroundings and to recognise body clues in situations where they don’t feel safe.
“React – help students to consider choices that may keep them safe such as run away, yell out “No, Go away” or scream to alert others around them.
“Report it to a trusted adult as soon as possible.”
Principal Kealy said staff at Anula Primary School would be reminding students on Friday about the importance of making sure if they see or hear anything, they report it to either school staff, their families and the police.
“Anula Primary School staff will continue to be vigilant, particularly at pick up and drop off times,” she said.
“We pride ourselves on being a safe and welcoming learning environment for our students, staff, families and the school community.
“If you do see any activity that you consider to be out of the ordinary, please do not hesitate to contact the police or the school.”
