A MAN has been sent packing back to Queensland after he allegedly breached multiple directions from the NT Chief Health Officer.

The 33-year-old man arrived in Darwin on Monday July 26 and allegedly failed to provide enough details to satisfy entry into the NT.

As a result he was sent to the Howard Springs quarantine facility.

While there he allegedly breached further directions of the Chief Health Officer.

The NT News understands he allegedly did not wear a mask.

As a consequence he was arrested and charged and taken into police custody.

“It is important that everyone who enters the Territory complete and submit their NT Border Entry Form, including detailing all locations they have resided at and visited for the past 14 days prior to entry, regardless of whether you have come from a hotspot location or not,” A/Cdr Burns said.

“We are working around the clock to stop COVID-19 spreading into the Territory.

“Non-compliance is not only disappointing, but it is not acceptable and we will not hesitate to act when it comes to ensuring the safety of all Territorians.”
