Weather To Watch

THE Dry is well and truly here, with temperatures in Darwin over the coming week to be perfect for fun in the sun.

The nights are expected to hover around a very comfortable and dry 20C to 21C, so it may be time for the long-term locals to get out the sweaters and track pants.

The maximum daytime temperature is expected to be a very consistent 33C.

With thousands expected to flock to Mindil Beach for the BASSINTHEGRASS this weekend conditions should be excellent for the long day and evening out.

Sunny, light winds becoming south-easterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the middle of the day is the prediction.

And guess what? It’s the same forecast for the next week.

Apart from next Thursday and Friday there is zero chance of any rain hitting Darwin.

Interestingly on those days there is apparently a 5-10 per cent chance of rainfall.
