SOME of Australia’s biggest netball stars will help Top End players, coaches and officials hone their skills this week during a stopover in Darwin.
Australian Diamonds coach Stacey Marinkovich and players Jess Anstiss, Courtney Bruce and Verity Charles are in Darwin for two weeks, on their way to WA, after competing in the Constellation Cup Series in New Zealand, due to the NT being part of the Australia-NZ travel bubble.
They arrived on Tuesday, March 9.

While here, they will make several appearances at Darwin and Palmerston netball events and work with members of the Netball NT academy program to develop their skills.
Marinkovich will also hold a Q&A with local coaches.
Marinkovich said the group was looking forward to working with local coaches, players and officials.
“It’s good to be able to get to our whole netball community and not just be centred around the major cities,” she said.

Netball NT pathway manager Penny Shearer said the local netball community was excited to meet the Diamonds.
“To have netballers of this calibre here in the Territory is really exciting, especially given that we don’t have a home team in the SSN (Suncorp Super Netball) and we don’t often get any games or people who get to travel here” she said.
“This is just a huge for us.”
