A YEAR 12 graduate at just 15 years old, Peter Susanto might just qualify for the moniker of boy genius.
The aspiring medical student was also awarded the title of Haileybury Rendall School dux, with an ATAR of 99.60.
Peter has made headlines in the past for being the youngest winner of the Australian leg of leading neuroscience competition Brain Bee championship.
This year he competed in the International competition, coming third overall.
“I wanted to represent Australia and NT has never had anyone represented,” Peter said.
The competition was moved to an online format because of Covid, which proved a bit of a challenge for Peter.
“The competition was at midnight and I had year 12 exams all that week,” he said.
But despite an interrupted sleep pattern, he said competing in the competition was the highlight of the year, topped off by receiving the ATAR he needed for a degree in medicine.
“I want to do Medicine at CDU and stay local,” he said.
“I have sort of a passion for radiology.”
His school results placed him second across all year 12 students in the Northern Territory and were among some other high scores for Haileybury.
