Tributes for NT Police Senior Auxiliary Kim Maree Lucas after two decades of service
The Darwin policing community is mourned the loss of a senior auxiliary member who passed away after two decades with the force.

A friendly face in the worst of times is how mates, family and colleagues may remember Kim Maree Lucas.
The Northern Territory Police Association have passed on its condolences to the loved ones of the long-serving police member and Senior Auxiliary after Ms Lucas passed away earlier this month.
It is understood Ms Lucas passed away from health-related issues on Thursday, February 9.
President Paul McCue said Ms Lucas served the Territory community for more than two decades as a Front Counter Auxiliary in stations across Greater Darwin.
Mr McCue said she joined the force police in 2001, and served across multiple stations during her 21 years with the force.
“On behalf of members and the NTPA Executive, I offer our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Senior Auxiliary Kim Maree Lucas,” Mr McCue said.
“Thank you for your dedication and service to the people of the Northern Territory.
“Rest in Peace, your shift is done.”
In 2012 Ms Lucas was awarded the Northern Territory Police Service Medal after 10 years with the force.
“(The medal is) in recognition of the ethical and diligent service by sworn members of the Northern Territory Police Force,” the 2011-12 annual report said.
The NT Police said it had communicated with Ms Lucas’s friends and family, but did not wish to make a public statement.
