DARWIN has been drenched this afternoon, catching out city workers who were forced to dodge the rain during the lunch hour rush.
Gutters filled up and people dusted off the umbrellas as heavy rain fell across the city.
By 2pm 16.4mm of rain has fallen across the city.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Sally Cutter said more rain was expected for the capital city.
At 1.55pm the Bureau of Meteorology website stated the temperature was 27.9C a drop from a high of 34.4C at midday.
