Human remains have been found at a remote cattle station in the Territory.

Human remains have been found at a remote cattle station 300km north of Alice Springs.

The human remains were found by a helicopter pilot last week during a stop point at the pastoral station.

The remains were found on September 24.

Police are not yet clear who the remains belong to but believe they may be those of a person reported missing in 2019.

A police spokeswoman said the remains would undergo forensic testing to confirm they belonged to the person reported missing last year.
