THE Top End is getting drenched with Darwin Airport recording 35mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s rainfall statistics for the last 24 hours until Tuesday 9am showed Darwin Airport and Marrara each hit 35mm of rainfall.
The Botanic Gardens recorded 18mm, Nightcliff Pool 14mm and Gunn Point 20mm.
Inland recorded big rains with Dry River ironically hitting 22mm, Upper Seventeen Mile Creek 17mm, Birdie Creek 24mm and Maranboy Hill at 18mm.

There is a 60 per cent chance of rains in Darwin until Friday, when over the weekend it drops to 10 per cent and 20 per cent.
The maximum temperature 32C and the minimum 25C.
In Alice Springs 14mm of rainfall was recorded at Todd Rover Schwarz Cres, 19mm at Wigley Gorge and Big Dipper, and 21mm at Mount Sir Charles.
There is a 90 per cent chance of rainfall today in Alice Springs, which drops to 40 per cent on Wednesday. For the rest of the week no rain is forecast.
The maximum temperature for the week is 30C and the minimum 9C.
