TOP Enders have officially kissed the Dry goodbye with the first significant rains falling in Darwin during the weekend.
In the 24 hours up until 9am on Sunday rain gauges topped out at 49.8mm at Darwin Airport followed by Middle Point with 31.4mm.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Moses Raico said while there might be a few more showers on Sunday, the rest of this week was looking drier.
“There is a chance today of seeing some more rainfall, the chances around the Darwin area are kind of backing off though as we head into tomorrow and the start of next week,” he said.
