POLICE have praised the “excellent” behaviour of revellers at BASSINTHEGRASS on Saturday, with only a “very small number of people” coming to their attention.
Superintendent Daniel Shean said two notices to appear were issued for drug charges and another was issued for an aggravated assault.
Eight people were given the boot by security guards and police evicted 10 people while making only one arrest for “behavioural offences”.
“Having regard to the size of the crowd commensurate with the number of persons evicted and only one arrest for behavioural offences and one issue of a notice to appear for aggravated assault, the behaviour of the crowd at BASSINTHEGRASS 2021 was excellent,” Supt Shean said.
“NT Police would like to thank all those who attended, for enjoying the festival safely, and we look forward to next year.”
