Chief Minister confirms no new Covid-19 cases recorded in the Territory in the last 24 hours

No new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the Northern Territory in the last 24 hours.

'Too early to tell' whether virus spread in NSW hospitals

NO NEW cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the Northern Territory in the last 24 hours.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner confirmed testing was still underway for Territorians who had visited public exposure sites across the Top End, and now in Alice Springs, with no positive tests returned.

The number of people who visited high risk site, the Buff Club along the Stuart Hwy in Stuart Park, has been updated to 179. These people are considered close contacts, and must remain in isolation for 14 days.

Mr Gunner said eight people had yet to be reached by authorities, with police attempting to confirm they were complying with lockdown regulations.

All tests completed for the Buff Club have returned negative thus far.

Queensland records three new community cases

Seven close contacts of an infected mine worker in his 50s, who visited the Buff Club and a number of other sites across Darwin, have all tested negative for Covid-19.

The 26 people who attended high risk site the Zumba Class at the Palmerston Recreation Centre have all been contacted and are in isolation, along with their close household contacts.

Thus far six testing results have returned negative.
