BERRY SPRINGS is set to reopen for swimming today, after a long wet season.
The park, which closes in the wet months because the water becomes too murky and crocodiles move into the area, was anticipated to reopen last weekend but was delayed due to late rains.
Darwin/Urban Parks chief district ranger Louise Kean said they were excited to see the park open.
“The team have done the croc checks and water quality analysis and it’s ready for you to swim,” she said.
“As always we ask that you respect other visitors, and pay attention to the glass-free and smoke-free zones around the swimming areas.
