New laneways bar opening on old Squires and Sinsations sites

A new inner city bar will open at the end of this month on the sites of the old Squires Tavern and adjoining Sinsations strip club, further expanding Darwin’s exploding laneways food and drink precinct

A NEW inner city bar will open at the end of the month in Darwin’s burgeoning food and drink precinct around Austin Lane.

Mayberry, will take over the old Squires and Sinsations property and offer a saloon-style venue with a large range of beers, spirits and cocktails.

One of the owners, Russell Temple, said the bar, situated on Edmunds Street, would host live music in a multi-level venue.

“I think the diversification of hospitality businesses throughout Darwin including Mitchell Street, Austin Lane and the Waterfront is exciting for locals and tourists alike,” he said.
