The public is being urged to contact police for information after a shirtless and shoeless man arrested for assaulting workers escaped custody on Sunday morning.

A 32-year-old man has been recaptured after fleeing police custody in Darwin’s CBD on Sunday.
Kelvin Bruppacher-Stuart was last seen running past St Mary’s Cathedral in the direction of Tomaris Court and Daly Street at 10.48am.
Police alerted the public to his escape on Sunday afternoon, but has since sent out a statement announcing Mr Bruppacher-Stuart had been caught.
EARLIER: A MAN who allegedly assaulted workers is on the run in Darwin’s CBD.
32-year-old Kelvin Bruppacher – Stuart escaped police custody at 10.45 on Sunday morning at the intersection of Cavenagh Street and Garramilla Boulevard.
Mr Bruppacher – Stuart had been apprehended after allegedly assaulting multiple workers in the Darwin CBD on Saturday.

He was last seen running past St Mary’s Cathedral in the direction of Tomaris Court and Daly Street at 10.48am.
Mr Bruppacher – Stuart is described “as being of Indigenous in appearance, solid build, and 170cms tall with a shaved head”, a statement from NT Police said.
He wasn’t wearing a shirt or shoes at the time of his escape, and was only wearing khaki-coloured shorts.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call police on 131444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
NT Police urged the public not to approach Mr Bruppacher – Stuart, but said he was not a threat to the public.
