A group of Red Centre rockers – who once opened for KISS – are looking to take the next step in their musical journey, but are calling for help to do so.

The Mulga Bore Hard Rock band have launched a GoFundMe to help them cover the costs to film a new music video, which will be used to launch their new album.

So far, they have raised more than $5000 – halfway to their goal of $10,000.

The band’s manager Rebecca McLean said the money raised will be used to cover costs for filming a music video for a new single.

“We have managed to pull together money to record an album but now we need to launch our first single with a music video,” she said. “We have saved a few grand but it isn’t quite enough to cover all the expenses of shooting in a remote place like Alice Springs.

Mulga Bore Hard Rock are raising the bar for central Australian young people and sending a clear message to the world that positive stories are alive and well in the desert.”

Mulga Bore Hard Rock lead singer and guitarist Alvin Manfong said the band just wanted to show the world their music.

“We have been wanting to do this for ages but now the songs are burning a hole in my heart ... they have to get out there,” he said.

“We are all excited, the band and families, to be making this video in Alice Springs, and out bush.

“I’m writing new songs for the tour next year too so we just wanna show the world our music and to make family proud.”
