Uluru restaurant Tali Wiru’s star continues to grow with the renowned fine dining venue awarded an Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) Chef Hat for 2024 and a Readers’ Choice Award.

Meaning ‘beautiful dune’ in the local Pitjantjatjara language, Tali Wiru, offers a unique five-hour dining experience limited to only 20 people a night that AGFG described as serving food “quite out of the ordinary.”

Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia CEO Matt Cameron-Smith said the Ayers Rock Resort based restaurant was truly a remarkable dining experience that every self confessed foodie needs to try.

“There is nothing quite like Tali Wiru in all of Australia, and we’re incredibly proud of the culinary team at Ayers Rock Resort who bring this magical experience to life each evening with professionalism and passion,” he said.

“Tali Wiru is a true feast for all the senses and a must do for any lover of great food and fine wine.

“If it’s not yet on your bucket list, now is the time to start planning a gastronomic adventure to Uluru”.

Dining at Tali Wuru really is an experience of its own, starting with an off road trip to a private dune with views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta as you enjoy canapes and champagne.

This is followed by a four-course open-air dining experience under the stars that is filled with ancient native ingredients paired with premium Australian wines.

The evening is wrapped up with a hot chocolate or cognac while hearing an Indigenous storyteller speak about the Traditional Owners, the Anangu, and their culture, history and ties with the land.
