NT POLICE have been left gobsmacked after finding 33 people crammed into the tray of a ute.
The youngest person was just one-year-old.
Police said there were also two passengers in the cabin of the Toyota Hilux.
Ironically, one of the people in the back of the tray can be seen wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a road safety message: ‘Always wear your seatbelt’.
Police said they stopped the ute on Port Keats Rd about 3.40pm on Wednesday May 29.
It proved to be an expensive outing for the driver.
