When a Tiktok video shot at a remote Far North creek begins with the words “that’s a weird f---ing log” you know what comes next is going to be entertaining.
And this hilarious video of a croc at Wujal Wujal Falls shot by up-and-coming Tiktok creator Kody Duncan doesn’t disappoint.
Posted three days ago from the croc infested Bloomfield River, near the Indigenous community of Wujal Wujal, the video shows a camouflaged saltwater croc lurking in the shallow water below the waterfall.
“That’s a weird f---ing log,” Mr Duncan can be heard saying in the video.
The small but feisty saltie didn’t take kindly to being taunted with a soft plastic lure dangled in front of its nose before lurching out of the water, jaws snapping in the direction of the camera.
The video has racked up 7m views on Tiktok since being posted by the outdoor content creator two days ago.
The remote mangrove lined Bloomfield River, 120km north of Cairns, harbours a large croc population, including one remarkable animal caught on video in 2020 porpoising like a dolphin at speed alongside a tinny.
The video was captured by Cairns-based commercial coral trout fisher Robert Dunn and shows a croc estimated 4.5m long racing a small boat and leaping out of the water.
Mr Dunn said the croc, named Tommy, was well known on the river downstream from the Wujal Wujal mission.
