Alice Springs business targeted, cars damaged

An Alice Springs car auction business has been left in tatters after it was broken into, with up to 30 vehicles damaged.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an Alice Springs business was broken into, leaving up to 30 vehicles damaged

It is alleged that a group of up to five individuals were involved in the unlawful entry of a car auction business on Brown Street, Alice Springs, with between 20 to 30 vehicles vandalised.

Significant damage was also caused within the premises, however police continue to assess the extent of the damage.

CCTV footage has been obtained with Strike Force Viper leading the investigation.

Commander James Gray-Spence asked anyone with information to support investigators.

“Our team is working diligently this morning to gather evidence and locate those responsible,” he said.

“We urge anyone with information related to this incident to come forward, as even the smallest detail could be crucial in assisting with the investigation.”

Just a few minutes’ drive away in Ciccone, several businesses were also found to have sustained significant damage believed to have occurred overnight.
