Two couples filmed in wild gym brawl in front of stunned onlookers

An argument between two couples turned into an all-out brawl with two women and men trading punches and MMA-style blows.

Two active-wearing women have been caught wrestling on a gym floor as their respective partners trade punches and kicks just metres away in a MMA-style brawl.

In the distressing footage, filmed in the state of Pará, Brazil, the women can be seen grabbing each other’s hair and rolling around while their partners throw punches at each other.

As the fight intensifies, concerned gym-goers begin crowding around and filming the bizarre scenes.

The footage quickly went viral with people branding it “pathetic” and “crazy” on social media.

“The atmosphere in gyms is getting more and more pathetic,” one user said.

The fight reportedly took place at the Fit Mania gym on Thursday March 13.

According to gym-goers, the fight only ended when employees of the fitness centre separated those involved, revealing they “have taken the necessary actions”.

While it is still unclear what caused the bizarre brawl, speculation has run rife with some reporting that the couples fell out over sharing the exercise equipment.

Others believe the fight may have been triggered by nasty family matters involving a child.

Despite this, police are still investigating and calling in witnesses for interviews.
