A COVID-19 hot spot imposed by the NT Government on Monday — which covered all of South Australia — has today been reduced to Adelaide and 20 surrounding council areas, after a cluster of cases emerged in SA in recent days.
Health Minister Natasha Fyles said the NT Government and the Chief Health Officer had put in hard measures quickly on Monday based on the information they had at hand at the time.

“When we saw the cases build on Sunday from 4 to 17 … we made the decision to declare the whole of South Australia as a hot spot,” she said.
“We didn’t know where the virus may have travelled to.
"Based on that early information we went hard, we went wide but now based on more information are able to reduce that (hot spot) to Adelaide and the surrounding suburbs.”
