'Madness': Mum trolled over toddler's jaw-dropping Easter haul

“Is this a joke? It’s Easter, not Christmas."

How do I make my kids more grateful for the gifts they are given?

A mum has shared her two-year-old’s mega haul of Easter goodies only to be hit with backlash online.

The TikToker, @themommaadventures, proudly showed off an array of toys, clothing and chocolate treats she spoiled the tot with.

But the internet wasn’t feeling the vibe, calling her tradition “madness.”

Seven-minute Easter haul clip

The mother did include a disclaimer in her video caption, writing, “She will NOT be eating all of this in one day.

“Some things were from both of her nana and granddads as well as us, her parents.”

The seven minute clip shows just how far down the rabbit hole this mum went for Easter.

Colourful Easter-themed stamps, a collection of chocolate that could rival Willy Wonka’s factory, light-up toys, an entire new wardrobe, and books were all included in the massive bundle.

But the trolls didn’t bring their sweet tooth to the comment section.

“Is this a joke ? It’s Easter not Christmas,” came one criticism.

“She's two, why does she need a pen? Easter is not Easter anymore,” another wrote.

“Ridiculous amount,” a third agreed.

One person even claimed their child gets less for Christmas, to which the mother fired back: “That literally has nothing to do with me? What you choose to buy your child is your choice, as is it’s my choice what I buy my child.”

"We do not deserve it at all"

Despite her best intentions, the clip quickly went viral, racking up more than 538,000 views and over 300 comments.

The backlash led the mother to post a follow-up post addressing the criticism.

“Some of the comments we have had today have been absolutely disgusting and we do not deserve it at all,” she wrote.

The family, who frequently shares their shopping hauls online, says they plan to keep doing so.

“We work hard to provide for our families and why shouldn’t we be able to go a little bit extra if we want to? We would never ever drag another parent down for how little or how much they have got so we don’t expect it happening to us,” she continued.

She ended her message with a cheerful note:

“We are off to eat some Easter eggs,” she said.
