Uber Eats customers have been issued a warning about a potential scam circulating on WhatsApp.

Customers were sent an email on Thursday warning them of swindlers claiming to be from Uber Eats.

The messages invite recipients to join a promotional team and offer rewards for liking or bookmarking merchant stores.

“Please be aware that these messages are not sent by Uber Eats,” the company said.

“If you receive these messages, we strongly advise you not to engage with it, share personal or financial information, or click on any links.

“Remember, we will never ask you to provide your password.”

Customers with questions or concerns are asked to reach out to the customer support team through the official Uber Eats app or website.
