Violet Crumble launches Australia’s most expensive 6kg Easter egg at Costco

It weighs a mammoth 6kg and costs $250 – but a giant version of an iconic Australian chocolate bar has sent shoppers reaching for their wallets.

If you have walked into a Coles or Woolies recently you would have noticed some of your favourite chocolate bars transformed into Easter eggs.

But Violet Crumble has gone one step further in transforming its iconic honeycomb treat into a mammoth 6kg egg.

The next-level creation has already got fans losing it on social media with many desperate to get their hands on the huge item.

“I NEED THIS!” one person demanded on Facebook.

“I reckon I could devour this, no problem,” another wrote.

“OMG I want one,” a third said, while a fourth added: “I really need this in my life.”

The decadent Easter egg is available at Costco stores across the country – but only if you are willing to spend $250.

“Heck yeah! What dreams are made of,” one excited fan said.

Phil Sims, CEO of Robern Menz, said for those with an extra sweet tooth or wanting to really spoil their loved ones, “we’ve gone a little crazy” in creating the mammoth 6kg egg.

“With Aussies able to celebrate Easter together socially distanced this year, we wanted to bring a smile to everyone’s faces with an Easter selection sure to satisfy their chocolate and honeycomb needs,” he said.

“We were blown away by the reaction last year with the release of our new cult favourites, like the Violet Crumble Milk Drink and Caramel Violet Crumble, so we’re thrilled to once again feed fans’ appetite for Violet Crumble in all its delicious, shattering forms this Easter.”

Made using a combination of shattering pieces of honeycomb in milk chocolate, the 6kg creation joins the Violet Crumble Easter range including the fan favourite 30g Easter bunny, 50g and 110g Easter eggs and the 170g bunny and egg giftbox.
